Avoiding devastating waves

The world has become small and interconnected place due to the advancement in the communication. Especially the internet has brought all nations together, and allowed them to share their emotions and ideas. However, the internet became the source of spreading some garbage ideas that can shake the stability of the world, so it should be censored in limited manner to only benefit from it and avoid its potential destructions.

The internet has become a threat to the stability of the world. Throughout history, Arab spring was the greatest revolution in this century. Most of the countries in which these revolutions had taken place were completely devastated and experienced a very chaotic and frenzied situation. The situation of those countries got out of control; all people violated the local rules, protested violently and even fought against the government’s forces. For example, Syria is one of the countries that still enduring the negative effects off Arab spring. Before its revolution, Syria was a serene country that has control over its people. But in few months it changed into hostile place, in which war is interminably going on. All these destructions, deaths and hostilities were triggered by internet. The Arab spring had first begun in Tunisia, then, as the wind waves, spread to most of Arab countries through internet. Just like that, the internet can harm the stability of the world, so it is better to just prevent the wrong ideas from devastating our lives. 

Even though the internet interconnected all the nations from different places of the world, it became the source of evil.  Just before few months, a bunch of idiots had caused distrust among some of the most popular countries. They made bad films about Islam, which triggered massive riots in the most Islamic countries. These riots left many destructions and deaths. Some of the embassies in those countries were destroyed, and even four Americans, including ambassador Stevens, were killed in Libya. More over this terrible incident left behind friction among most of the European and Islamic countries, but did not abolish the bonds among them. This terrible movie was from only bunch of people, but risked to cause conflicts among the nations. So, it is better to control such that ideas from spreading before they provoke conflicts among the nations.

     Ultimately the best way to tackle the potential problems that internet can provoke is to make international laws concerning internet usage. The world organizations such as ITU should set global and fair rules to prevent the abuses and wrong ideas from spreading. Then start to monitor that these rules are fully applied by all countries. Through this process, every country should be responsible what it is going out and in of their countries. As a result all people will continue transmitting their knowledge, feelings and ideas through internet, and pejorative ideas will be blocked.
